Description
CSA SHARES ARE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE
A CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture, basically, people supporting farmers.
Signing up for a CSA from a local farmer helps support them financially before their season begins.
THIS IS HOW IT WORKS:
Pick up one box (one share) of fresh vegetables and fruits every week for 10 weeks. The season will run from the first of July through the first of September.
Boxes are available to be picked up here at the farm each Tuesday, or Friday from 10 am to 6 pm. The sooner you pick up the box, the fresher it will be. Please make arrangements with friends or neighbors to pick up your box if you cannot. Boxes not picked up by 6 pm will be donated, unless other arrangements have been made.
WHAT IS IN THE BOX?
I harvest more than 50 different fruits and vegetables. Some of the vegetables and fruits include: potatoes, slicing tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, hot peppers, mild peppers, carrots, peas, corn, garlic, garlic scapes, baby garlic, onions, green onions, shallots, broccoli, cabbage, cucumbers, summer squash, zucchini, winter squash, pie pumpkins, beans, lettuce, turnips, arugula, herbs, radishes, spinach, raspberries, plums, currants, apples and Goji berries.
Boxes will have 8 to 10 different items each week, depending on availability. I will send a text each Monday giving you a tentative list of what will be available the next day. I will have small EXTRA BOXES available each week. The extra boxes will contain one to two different vegetables, from $5.00 to $10.00.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
The cost of one box (one share) will be $250, plus tax, for a total of $265. Two payments of $132.50 each can be made in January and February. Full payment must be made by March 1, 2025. Families can order one or more shares. Please sign up early as I am limiting the number of shares to 30.
